Today at Green Fab we switched our classes and did different activities than we use to do. We came in Green Design class and Green Design students went to Green Tech class. The peruse of this was to see that how students remember about what they did in the last semester. In the morning session, our teacher Carlos showed us some basic steps of how to laser cut something. He showed us all the steps and we follow him. The process was that first we draw the design in the computer design Inkscape then save in a flash drive, after that take the flash drive to the main computer and print it from their. He showed all the details of how we draw some thing in Inkscape and the process of printing it. Everyone made their own design in Inkscpae. We spent our Afternoon Session cutting out everyone’s projects.

At Green Fab we talked abut our final project in Green fab. Everybody talked about what they want to do for their final project. All the students announced many different things they want to do. I wanted make a car as my final project but another student wanted to do the same thing. Then I decide I am not going to do that. When it was my turn to share with the class about what I want to do as my final project, I was lost I didn’t know what to say. My teacher asked me can u think of an Idea and I did. I told my teacher that I want to make car but different than the other student. My will be for green concern. I will have a trash can on my car and some sign that will say “keep the city clean” or something else. I am still thinking about that idea and developing it. In the afternoon session we all right our next step for the project. At the end of afternoon session my teacher Carloos told me to told me help him doing some work on living machine. I am working hard to get my final project done in greenfab.

Today at Green Fab we worked on green design. Our morning and afternoon session was about making wind turbines. In the morning session our teacher James taught us the difference between a motor and a generator. Motors use energy to make wind (fan), on the other hand wind generators use wind to make energy. In addition, wind generators give us energy without any pollution and motors consume energy. There something that is common in both. They both have magnet that help the metal to spin around. However, generator’s magnet placed in the middle and metal around it, in motor magnet placed around and medal in the middle. In the afternoon session a presenter came from ITP to present a wind turbine model. In that model he had generator without blades. He told us to make vertical blades that he can connect to that and make it work. Every group made their own design some of them worked and some didn’t. I was grouped with Malik from 10th grade, we made a vertical blade design and we tested it and it worked. We got that Idea from the Internet.

Today was the last day to finish my final project at Green Fab. Also it was our presentation day. A lot of people are coming to visit our project such as the sponsors, people from ITP, NYC Department of Edu, people from Media, our Crew leaders and principles from our school. My project was still not capable to present. James got me my switch but it was different than what I expected. I had a lot of complications in my project I took me a lot of time to fix them. I finished my project before lunch, after I came back from lunch my teacher told me to write a description of my project. Around Five O’clock people started to come in and we start to present our project. I got a lot of good comments about my project. After finishing presenting we ate then got together in a room. In that room all the students received certificates for completing this course.

Today at Green Fab, I made a lot of progress on my final project. I came up with my final idea and almost have it done. My project’s name will be Dead Terrorist Achmed. In this project I made a box and when someone open it it will make some kind of funny sound. I am trying to figure out what will be sounds be. I made my sensor already and it work perfectly. Now i am waiting for James to get me the magnet switch. once i get the switch, i will connect it to with my project. i thinking more about what i can add in this project. in addition, i have to edit my Ardueno cods.

Today at Green Fab, my project made a lot of progress. I download my MP3 file from the Internet. In order to make the MP3 file play I have to use another Ardueno code call Ardueno Processing. I got the code processing from another student in Green Fab. I took it through the flash-drive and put it in my computer. The code he used is similar to my but not the same. As a result of that, it took me lot of time to figure out how am I supposed to edit it. At the end of the day, i finished editing it and tested it with my sensor and it worked. However, I didn’t get my magnet switch yet, as soon as I get that I’ll have to connect it with my sensor.

· In the morning session we made a Laser Light Sound Transformer.

· We soldier weir and LEDs

· We made an audio jack.

· We also used Solar panel.

· We used LCD

· I connect Solar panel with an audio jack and plug it in a sound box.

· I connect the Laser Light with an audio jack and plug it in a radio.

· In order to light up the Laser Light I used a battery and alligator clips.

· When I point the light to the Solar panel the radio started to play because the laser light transferred the sound to the sound box through the solar panel

· In the afternoon session I worked on my final project.

· I found a car design on instructable.com and I decided to do that as my final project.

· I am working on that to construct that I will finish soon.

This morning James told us to work on our final project. Today was the last day for work on our project. Next Thursday we go to presentation. I finished work on my final project RC car with soler Power, and is run wall in sun light, me and James took my car out side to see how is work its work really good, and finally I finished my project, now I’m wait for Thursday. GOOD LUCK to me guys

Today in green fab we worked more on our final project. James he talk to us about our project and we all talked to some visitors about our project. I had found the staff for my RC car. I had to use four solar powers. After lunch we was doing our project.
